21 Dreams Arts & Culture is celebrating Montgomery’s emerging art community this October in its fourth annual Flight of Arts! October 2016 marked the official recognition of National Arts and Humanities Month: an initiative focused on engaging creatives and art advocates across the country while fostering partnerships among communities.

In collaboration with Alabama Shakespeare Festival (ASF), the Junior Executive Board of the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA), and SHE Agency, 21 Dreams presents the 2019 Flight of Arts. This event highlights our state and local art communities, allowing multiple opportunities for the public to experience the arts throughout the week.

This year’s four-day festival will feature several exhibitions for the digital, visual, performing and culinary arts. With the growth of 21 Dreams’ S.T.E.A.M initiatives (Science. Technology. Engineering. Arts. Mathematics), an Alice 3D Animation Challenge will be added to the Content Creators Competition. And for the 3rd year in a row, the team brings back the young Filmmakers Challenge. Events will be held in Blount Cultural Park, and hosted at MMFA and ASF.

The celebration starts at MMFA in the Sculpture Garden with Artists On Tap, on to ASF’s opening season performances of “Pipeline”, to the Art of Storytelling in the Shakespeare Garden, and wrapping the weekend with a Chef Tasting & Demonstration by Alanna’s Gourmet & Friends -- also in the Shakespeare Garden!

21 Dreams creates a platform for organizations and individuals to support this initiative through collaboration while highlighting the talented creatives in the River Region and throughout Alabama.
